Beautiful hair starts with understanding what makes yours unique.
Two decades of working with curly hair has taught me how to design cuts (straight or curly) that work when you style them at home, colors that enhance your personal expression, and solutions for the ongoing frustrations you've had with your hair.
Most stylists learn techniques. I understand why hair behaves the way it does.
This expertise has led to developing education programs for other stylists and teaching classes & workshops internationally. But it all comes back to the chair and helping clients finally get hair that works with their life, not against it.
My journey in hair began at the intersection of art and craft. As a life long dancer and visual artist with a bachelors in painting/printmaking, hair became the medium that offered me the greatest expression. After 20 years licensed and 15 years behind the chair,I am the owner of Nourish Atelier, a working art studio/salon in Peachtree City, GA where I take curly clients for cut & color.
As a seasoned cutting educator who's spent my life at the intersection of art and movement, I have worked as an educator, platform artist, neditorial stylist, and consultant for CurlMix, TreLuxe, Innersense Organic Beauty, 4UbyTia, and more to consistently build more inclusive visual stories and comprehensive resources for ALL hair.
Beyond technique, I am committed to nurturing curiosity & wonder in the salon industry with The Nourish Approach, that guides stylists away from binary thinking with formulaic execution and toward developing their unique artistic vision.
For eight years (2017-2025) I hosted workshops in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK teaching tight curl cutting. I’ve developed curriculums and platforms both digitally and in person that have empowered thousands of salon professionals with the critical skill of working with textured hair.
Today, I'm focused on the quiet work of transforming acquired technique into artistic expertise for stylists ready to build an unshakeable behind-the-chair practice that’s rooted in understanding, not just execution.
