For centuries, artists have stepped away from their regular practice to immerse themselves completely in creative exploration. They’ve understood something we've never taken seriously in the salon industry; time to just be and do with no client or commerce pressures.
Artistic discovery and transformation requires more than a couple weekend technique classes that breeze through a multitude of concepts. It requires time, space, freedom to receive, integrate, and challenge the status quo. There’s a deep need to allow ourselves space to be beginners, to fail spectacularly, and to discover the extraordinary ways we create and execute in the process.

What is CURATE?
CURATE is a self designed 3-7 day artist residency that treats hair design as the legitimate fine art it's always been but rarely is allowed to be.
The structure is simple: guided days that open new territories of exploration, followed by independent days where you dive deep into whatever questions arise. By the end of the week, you won't have learned a new cutting technique, you'll have developed a completely new relationship with your creative practice.
Hair exists in three-dimensional space and changes with time, growth, and movement. It carries profound cultural significance and serves as a primary mode of self-expression for many. This medium deserves the same depth of exploration that other art forms receive.
What Happens When You Really Have Time
The alternating structure of CURATE creates space for both breakthrough and integration. Guided days introduce new ways of seeing and understanding. Independent days let you follow those insights wherever they lead, without pressure to arrive at predetermined destinations.
This Isn't For Everyone
If you're looking for new techniques to add to your repertoire, this isn't the experience for you. If you want to learn specific skills that will immediately improve your client work, there are better options.
