The CURATE Artist Residency is designed to close that gap. Over three days, we’ll step away from the daily demands of salon life and focus entirely on your artistry. You’ll document what you already know while uncovering the unconscious patterns in how you think and execute. Our goal is to codify a personal method of execution that reflects your style and approach.

By the end of the residency, you’ll have a clear framework for how you work, a body of work that proves your method, and the confidence to execute it consistently, with intention and ease.

CURATE: THE ARTIST RESIDENCY FOR HAIR STYLISTS

True artistic and professional growth requires more than weekend classes that move quickly through multiple techniques. It requires time and space to observe your own patterns, integrate what you already know, and challenge the way you work.

For decades, fine artists have attended residencies to step away from their regular surroundings to immerse themselves fully in their creative practice and technical exploration, often in preparation to bring new work to the public. The CURATE Artist Residency treats hair design as the fine art it has always been.

This residency is specifically for experienced licensed & practicing hairstylists. It is structured to balance guided exercises with independent study allowing your to create a body of work, document your method, and see your process from a fresh perspective.

By the end of the residency, you’ll have developed a clear, repeatable method that proves your approach, giving you the confidence to execute your artistry with intentional consistency that brings ease to your work life.

What Happens

Guided Sessions
Guided sessions open new territories of exploration through process evaluations, technical exploration, and custom visual art exercises that reveal how you think and execute. This is not about learning new techniques. It’s about making your patterns, instincts, and decision-making visible so you can understand and refine them.

Independent Sessions
You’ll document your work, create a small body of work, and observe your method from a new perspective. This gives you tangible evidence of your approach and allows you to see the patterns that have always guided your work.

Evaluation and Refinement
Together, we review your work, identify your patterns, and map your personal system. By the end of the residency, your method will be fully articulated, repeatable, and aligned with how you want to work and create.

The Result

Stylists who complete CURATE often reduce their service times by 30–45 minutes, make creative decisions with more clarity and confidence, and leave with a method they can rely on, repeat, and teach. Most importantly, their work fits their lives instead of consuming them, and they feel grounded in who they are and how they create.

LOGISTICS

Duration: 3 days of complete immersion | Sunday - Tuesday or Thursday - Saturday available.
Structure: Alternating guided and independent sessions during our time together
Location: Peachtree City, GA or your home salon (travel fees apply)
Investment: solo $1800 | group of four $5000 | larger salons please contact for a custom proposal
